Mahashivratri: 1000’s of devotees make beeline for temples

Mahashivratri, a competition devoted to Lord Shiva, was celebrated within the holy metropolis of Amritsar on Saturday. 1000’s of devotees made beelines for temples to supply prayers because the crack of the daybreak.

They have been seen holding pitchers crammed with milk of their arms and patiently waited for his or her flip to enter the sanctum sanctorum of temples. The temples have been decked up with flowers and ornamental lights. Large rush of devotees have been witnessed at well-known Shiva temples, together with Shivala Veer Bhan, Shivala Bhaiyan, Durigana Temple and many others.

The individuals organised langars throughout town that led to snarl-ups on a number of roads. The police remained on their toes to thwart any untoward incident and police groups have been deputed exterior temples and different spiritual locations.
