Drone crashes alongside Zero Line; 25-kg heroin seized in 48 hours

After seizing 25 kg of pure-grade heroin from close to the Worldwide Border (IB) prior to now 48 hours, senior officers are clearly apprehensive over the big quantity of narcotics which may have flown undetected into Punjab from throughout the border in the previous couple of months.

On Sunday morning, BSF personnel of the 113th Battalion have been on patrolling responsibility close to the Ghania-Ke-Wager border outpost in Dera Baba Nanak once they heard a “buzzing sound adopted by a thud” and located a drone connected with a 3 kg consignment of heroin. The drone is claimed to have crash-landedalong the Zero Line.

Yesterday, safety businesses had seized 22 kg of contraband when it was being smuggled into Indian territory by a PVC pipe.
