KMSC burns effigies of Centre, state govt

Members of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) burnt effigies of the Centre and state authorities close to Chabba village right here on Amritsar-Tarn Taran Street on Monday to protest the alleged anti-farmer insurance policies of the governments.

KMSC leaders stated the Aam Aadmi Social gathering had claimed that it might present good governance within the state and no part of society must resort to protests. “The celebration had claimed to make a ‘Dharna mukt Punjab’ however after it fashioned authorities, totally different sections of society have been compelled to stage protests even for his or her rights,” stated KMSC basic secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher.

The union leaders stated farmers ended their protest in Batala after the federal government requested for 20 days to resolve the problems regarding compensation for land acquisition for highways.

“Even after 22 days, the problems haven’t been resolved and we’re compelled to provoke a protest in Gurdaspur from February 22,” stated Pandher.
