Farmers stage dharna in entrance of SDM workplace in Tarn Taran

Activists of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC), Punjab, organised a dharna in entrance of the workplace of the native SDM right here on Tuesday. They had been protesting in opposition to encroachment of a serious portion of the roadside exterior the SDM workplace inflicting inconvenience to commuters.
Farmers and labourers from completely different villages of the tehsil (subdivision) participated within the dharna.
Satnam Singh Manochahal, district president of the KMSC, Fateh Singh, Nirvail Singh Bugha and Lakhwinder Singh Plasaur had been among the many others who addressed on the event. The audio system objected to encroachment exterior the SDM workplace for over the past three years by tying rope across the street inflicting inconvenience to commuters.
The audio system alleged corruption was rife within the workplace of the tehsildar and the fees for the works to be finished had gone as much as 50 per cent.
They demanded higher companies to be supplied by the Suvidha Kendra and elimination of dry bushes bent in the direction of the street to stop any untoward incident. Tehsildar Rakesh Garg assured the protesters of resolving all of their calls for raised by them. The rope tied across the street was eliminated instantly to pacify the protesters.
