A fireplace broke out on the Guru Gobind Singh Refinery in Bathinda district on Friday morning. It led to panic amongst residents of close by villages as smoke engulfed the sky over the refinery however the hearth was quickly introduced beneath management by the refinery’s firefighting division. No casualties or accidents have been reported as per refinery’s officers.

A spokesperson of the refinery, which is a public-private partnership (PPP) enterprise of HPCL-Mittal Power, stated the fireplace was triggered because of an oil leakage in a quench oil pump arrange within the morning.
