CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Authorities led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is boosting the horticulture and meals processing sectors in an effort to make horticulture, a worthwhile enterprise, herald crop diversification and enhance farmers’ revenue. The Minister mentioned {that a} sum of Rs. 253 crore has been provisioned within the finances of 2023-24 (FY) for encouraging horticulture and 5 horticulture estates are being developed at Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, Patiala, Bathinda and Faridkot at a value of Rs. 40 crore. Underneath the agriculture infrastructure fund scheme chalked out for enterprise initiatives associated to horticulture, Rs. 2500 crore value initiatives have been obtained.
