Vigilance bureau arrests Patwari for demanding bribe Rs 15,000
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) throughout its anti-corruption marketing campaign has arrested income Patwari Parveen Kumar, posted at income halqua, Phagwara metropolis, Kapurthala district for demanding a bribe of Rs 15, 000.
Disclosing this right here at the moment, a spokesperson of the VB mentioned this case has been registered towards the above mentioned income official after investigation of an internet grievance lodged on the Chief Minister’s anti-corruption motion line.
Giving particulars he added that the complainant Ranvir Kaur, resident of Nehru Nagar, Phagwara, now dwelling at Slough, United Kingdom, has alleged that the above mentioned Patwari has demanded Rs 15, 000 as a bribe in lieu of mutation of her home after the demise of her husband and making correction within the names. She additional added that the accused Patwari has already taken Rs 25, 000 and asking for more cash on this regard.
The spokesperson added that the VB unit of Jalandhar vary has investigated the allegations levelled within the grievance and registered a corruption case at VB police station Jalandhar towards the above talked about income official after discovering him responsible for demanding and accepting a bribe cash.
