Rs. 40 crore releases for maintenance and upkeep of Faculties: Harjot Singh Bains


CHANDIGARH: The Punjab authorities led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has launched Rs. 40 crore on Friday for maintenance and upkeep of college buildings as a part of the efforts being made to revolutionize total schooling system.

Disclosing this, Schooling Minister Harjot Singh Bains stated that the strenuous efforts are being made to ramp up the infrastructure of presidency colleges and the strenuous efforts are being made on this route from a really first day after formation of the federal government.

The Schooling Minister knowledgeable that cash was being demanded for building of flooring and roofs in addition to electrical energy, furnishings restore and paint of many college buildings.

Mr. Bains stated that Rs. 4.21 crore have been given for 276 colleges of Amritsar district. Other than this, Rs. 1.40 crore for 53 colleges of Barnala district, 1.85 crore rupees for 109 colleges of Bathinda district, 1.14 crore rupees for 58 colleges of Faridkot district, Rs.0.80 crore for 85 colleges of district Fatehgarh Sahib, Rs.5.17 crore for 271 colleges of district Fazilka, Rs.1.8 crore for 126 colleges of district Ferozepur, Rs. 3.14 crore for 236 colleges of district Gurdaspur, Rs.1.12 crore for 65 colleges of district Hoshiarpur, 2.43 crore rupees for 207 colleges of district Jalandhar, 1.04 crore rupees for 115 colleges of district Kapurthala, 0.94 crore rupees for 71 colleges of district Ludhiana, 0.90 crore rupees for 50 colleges of district Malerkotla, 1.20 crore rupees for 66 colleges of district Mansa, 0.92 crore rupees for 66 colleges of district Moga, 0.78 crore rupees for 87 colleges of district Pathankot, 2.94 crore rupees for 161 colleges of Patiala, 0.78 crore rupees for 109 colleges of district Ropar, 1.70 crore rupees have been launched for 84 colleges of Sangrur. Whereas Rs 1.73 crore rupees for 81 colleges of SAS Nagar, 1.57 crore rupees for 115 colleges of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, 0.65 crore rupees for 50 colleges of Sri Muktsar Sahib and 1.44 crore rupees supplied for 113 colleges of district Tarn Taran.
