Sisodia’s household given 5 days to vacate official bungalow


NEW DELHI: Former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia’s household has been given 5 days to vacate the official bungalow as his Mathura Highway residence has been allotted to the newly-sworn in Delhi Minister, Atishi.

The Public Works Division (PWD) in an order mentioned: “The Competent Authority is happy to supply the Bungalow No. AB-17, Mathura Highway, to Atishi, Minister within the Delhi authorities.”

The PWD order requested the occupants to vacate it on or earlier than March 21.

In keeping with the order, the instructions have been issued according to provisions of the Delhi Administration Allotment of Authorities Residences (Basic Pool) Guidelines, 1977 that govern such allotments towards “the invocation of penal provisions underneath the foundations” if not vacated.

“The place the allottee is already in occupation of any home earlier allotted, the allottee should vacate the home inside 15 days after taking the possession of the brand new home allotted in lieu of the earlier home. The allottee shall even be required to submit a Clearance Certificates from the DDO involved for restoration of license charge/ water prices regarding the lodging earlier allotted,” the order learn.

Speaking in regards to the order, AAP MP Sanjay Singh mentioned: “Atishi is a minister and the bungalow has been allotted in her identify, what’s fallacious with it? Manish Sisodia is our brother, his household is our household, we’ll maintain him. The BJP is treating Sisodia like a terrorist… the celebration shouldn’t play video games.”

In the meantime, BJP’s IT in-charge Amit Malviya mentioned: “Kejriwal had promised to take care of Manish Sisodia and his household. However he was eliminated as minister nearly instantly, whereas Satyendar Jain was retained as minister for 9 months when he was in jail. Now, Sisodia has been requested to vacate the bungalow in order that it may be allotted to Atishi.”
