Ten minors amongst 12 held for ‘pro-Amritpal’ posters in UP district
RAMPUR: Twelve individuals, together with 10 minors, have been detained for allegedly placing up posters with slogans supporting absconding Khalistani sympathiser Amritpal Singh right here.
Whereas the minors had been launched after questioning and counselling, the opposite two accused had been despatched to jail, police stated.
The posters had messages saying, “Launch Amritpal. We help him. The central authorities has illegally arrested him.”
The posters had been discovered on partitions within the Bilaspur space of Rampur, close to the Uttarakhand border.
DIG (Moradabad), Shalabh Mathur, stated, “Moreover the ten minors, the 2 different accused are of their 30s. They’ve been charged beneath IPC part 153B (imputations, assertions prejudicial to nationwide integration).”
He added, “No punitive motion was taken in opposition to the minors and so they had been launched after counselling within the presence of their dad and mom. Efforts are on to determine individuals who tried to radicalise them.”
