Sidhu to hitch protesting wrestlers at Jantar Mantar
CHANDIGARH: Senior Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday mentioned that he’ll be a part of wrestlers of their protest in opposition to Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Calling the protest a ‘Satyagraha’, Sidhu mentioned in a tweet that he’ll be a part of the wrestlers at Jantar Mantar round midday.
The WFI chief has been accused of sexual harassment by some prime ladies wrestlers.
The Delhi Police have registered two FIRs in opposition to Singh on allegations of sexual harassment levelled by seven ladies wrestlers. Whereas the primary FIR pertains to allegations of a minor wrestler and was registered below the POCSO Act, the second was associated to outraging modesty.
