Punjab Energy Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO devoted 66 KV substation village Kalyanpur to the customers of subdivision Tanda and Bhogpur, right here on Friday.

The cupboard minister disclosed {that a} new 12.5MVA energy transformer has been established at this 66 KV substation Kalyanpur and it’s being linked with 4 11 KV feeders (Kalyanpur, Gidderpindi, Jahura and Sallan) of 132KV substation Tanda and two 11 KV feeders (Mooklan and Chakk Shakur) of 132KV substation Bhogpur and to shift 6.83MVA load to this new 66KV substation Kalyanpur. The overall value of the venture was Rs 422.12 lacs.
“On account of overload on a transformer, particularly within the paddy sowing season/ summers, the facility provide was being affected. Now, this new substation will scale back the burden on different substations and can enhance energy provide to customers in 14 villages together with 6 villages of Adampur constituency and eight villages of Urmar constituency,” he mentioned.

The facility minister mentioned that on this paddy sowing season the federal government ensures 8-hours uninterrupted energy provide to the farmers.
He reviewed the preparations and directed the officers involved to verify all transformers and transmission strains and repair the defects instantly, if any.
He mentioned that electrical energy provide is being offered for eight hours on alternate days to every agricultural feeder for direct sowing of rice from Could 20-Could 31.
